Michio Suzuki is a founder of Suzuki (1905). The Suzuki Loom Corporation start in the small seacoast village of Hamamatsu, Japan in 1909.
In 1920, Michio as president reorganized, incorporated, and capitalized at 500,000 yen as Suzuki Loom Manufacturing Co. Their plans were begun for a compact automobile in 1937, until 'Power Free' motorized bicycle marketed in 1952.
Michio changed his Company name to Suzuki Motor Co. Ltd. in 1954 and Lightweight car 'Suzulight' (360cc, 2-stroke) marketed one year later.
